Community Service Hub is a centralized resource that connects LCSD students with organizations and opportunities for community service, volunteer work, and civic engagement. Students are encouraged to use this site as an additional resource for volunteer opportunities.

LCSD Community Service Requirements:

• Students must acquire 25 community service hours as a graduation requirement (Seal of Civic Readiness).

• Lyons High School students can begin accumulating community service hours in the 9th grade.

• Lyons Middle School Students can volunteer for 7th and 8th grade events.

  • The hours they accumulate can be used to apply for NJHS, to be a class officer, and for many other great opportunities.

  • However, the hours that they accrue in the 7th and 8th grades will not be able to be counted towards the 25 hours for the graduation requirement.

All accumulated Community Service Hours can be found on the "Hours" tab on Schooltool under your student account.

Below is a working list of all the community service opportunities available for Lyons MS/HS Students and the Community Service Form. This form is used to collect your hours of community service. After completing a community service activity, this form must be filled out completely and turned in to Mrs. Rebecca Hill in the MS/HS Counseling Office.
