MAY 24, 2022 — Lyons MS/HS is pleased to announce its Valedictorians, Salutatorian, and members of the Class of 2022 with the top academic averages.
Elizabeth Casalmir – Valedictorian Elizabeth has natural academic ability. She is currently in the New Visions Medical Careers Program through WFL BOCES. She has taken multiple college classes at Lyons, including Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Spanish, Health, U.S. History, Government and Economics. Elizabeth is actively involved in extracurricular activities and is a multi-sport athlete, playing Tennis, Indoor, and Outdoor Track. She participates in community service activities and the Girl Scouts. Elizabeth is a member of National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout high school. Elizabeth plans to attend Hamilton College. She is the daughter of Paul and Lisa Casalmir.
Abbey Clark – Valedictorian Abbey is an exceptional student. She takes our most challenging courses, including college courses in Pre-Calculus, U.S. History, Government, Economics, English, Physics and Health. Abbey is actively involved in extracurricular activities, including many clubs and in the music department at Lyons. Outside of school, she dedicates a lot of her time giving back to the community, and is a Lyons Main Street Program Ambassador. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout her academic career. Abbey was also the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. Abbey plans to attend the University of Kentucky for Equine Science. She is the daughter of Howard and Alison Clark.
Dakota Learn – Salutatorian Dakota is an outstanding student. He is currently in the New Visions Medical Careers Program through WFL BOCES. He has also taken multiple college courses at Lyons, including Health, Spanish, US History, Government and Economics. Dakota is a black belt in Martial Arts, a sport that he is very actively involved in. He has also been a member of the High Honor Roll throughout his high school career. Outside of school, Dakota works locally and helps around his community. Dakota plans to attend Monroe Community College to study Radiologic Technology.
Quintin Franklin
Quintin will attend University of Buffalo to become a Physician’s Assistant. He was actively involved in baseball and basketball. Quintin is also a member of National Honor Society.
Faith Magwood
Faith plans to attend FLCC for Accounting. She played tennis, track, bowling, and softball while at Lyons. Faith also participated in Varsity Club and Yearbook Club.
Karlee Kemp
Karlee will attend the Unversity of Buffalo for Pre-Pharmacy. She is a member of National Honor Society and served as Class President. Karlee also played volleyball.
Morgan Verbridge
Morgan will attend Roberts Wesleyan for Forensic Science. Morgan participated in volleyball and golf, and will continue to play volleyball in college.
Jeffrey Schuldt
Jeffrey plans to attend FLCC for Music. He is a member of National Honor Society and participated in band. Jeffrey was also actively involved in cross country, track, and baseball, and will continue track in college.
Zander Beaudette
Zander will attend MCC for Automotive Technology. He played football, baseball, and track in high school. Zander is also a member of National Honor Society.
