JUNE 12, 2023 — Lyons MS/HS is pleased to announce its Valedictorian, Salutatorians, and members of the Class of 2023 with the top academic averages.
Bria Romano – Valedictorian
Bria is an exceptional student with natural academic ability. Bria has chosen to take the most challenging courses offered at Lyons High School, including college courses in Pre-Calculus, Calculus, U.S. History, Government, Economics, English, Chemistry, Physics, and Health. Bria is actively involved in an array of extracurricular activities and currently serves as the Senior Class Secretary. She is an integral part of our athletics department and was named captain of her Varsity Swim team her senior year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout her academic career.
Bria plans to attend William Smith College and has committed to Swimming. She is the child of Philip and Shannon Romano.
Emery Taylor – Salutatorian
Emery is an excellent student and advocate. They have taken a multitude of college courses, including Chemistry, Health, U.S. History, Government, Economics, and Psychology. A multi-sport athlete, Emery is also heavily involved in extracurriculars, including the school musical. Currently Class President, they are also members of GSA, Newspaper, Debate Club, and Varsity Club. Emery is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout high school.
Emery plans to attend the State University of New York at Buffalo for Biological Science with a minor in Spanish. They are the child of Sean and Melissa Taylor.
Kendra Stowell – Salutatorian
Kendra is an outstanding student and peer supporter. She has taken multiple college courses at Lyons, including Health, U.S. History, Government, Economics, English, and Psychology. Kendra is actively involved in our Tennis program, as well as a member of FLX Tennis. Outside of athletics, she has been an integral part of the Lyons musical productions and currently serves as the Senior Class Vice President. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on High Honor Roll throughout her high school career. Outside of school, Kendra works locally and helps around her community.
Kendra plans to attend St. John Fisher University where she plans to study Business. She is the child of Jim and Melodie Bramer.
JohnDavid Strazzabosco
JohnDavid is attending University of Buffalo for Exercise Science. He is a member of National Honor Society, and was a member of the Musical. JohnDavid ran for Indoor and Outdoor Track as well as Cross-Country.
Sydney DeNeef
Sydney is attending St. John Fisher University for Psychology. She is a member of National Honor Society. Sydney was a member of the Softball year and participated in the Musical.
Gage Lamoy
Gage will be attending Cayuga Community College for Electrical Technology. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society at the Wayne Tech and Career Center. He has participated in Track, Cross Country, and Baseball.
Oli Bornheimer
Oli will be attending William Paterson for Anthropology. They are a member of National Honor Society. Oli was also a member of the Musical and GSA Club.
Abigail Maines
Abigail will be attending the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School to become a Farrier. She was very active in Rodeo and participates in our Work Release Program.
Jordan Lucia
Jordan will be working at Hometown Auto. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society at the Wayne Tech and Career Center and participated in the SkillsUSA Competition.
