Bottling syrup

You want Maple Syrup? We've got it! 🍁 😋

Students throughout all grade levels at the MS/HS had a hand in producing this year's haul of 25 GALLONS of local Lyons Maple Syrup, harvested straight from our own schoolyard!

Huge thanks to our 7-12 Agriculture/Tech Educator and Lyons FFA Advisor Brennan Dailey for teaching our students how to tap trees, collect sap, boil it down and package the syrup.

"We tapped all the trees on campus, and some kids took taps home and tapped their own trees," Mr. Dailey said. "All my students, from 7th grade tech to Intro to Ag and Plant Science, had a hand in this process. The trees out here by the back of the school gave us a lot of sap, so we were busy!"

The syrup was packaged and bottled on campus by our students, and is now available for purchase! Prices are listed below. Please contact Mr. Dailey at bdailey@lyonscsd.org to arrange a purchase. Cash and checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to Lyons FFA. Thank you for all your support!! 🍁 🌳 🥞
