clothing closet

Two weeks ago, the Leadership Class kicked off our series of Passion Projects!

Our first group, led by Devyn Williams and his team members of Braden Bookmiller and Chloe Corbett, held their event which was a pop-up fashion shop in the LGI. Prior to the opening of the shop, there was a clothing drive held for several weeks with drop off locations throughout the community. The event was a success as students were able to fill a bag or more of styles they liked and/or needed. All remaining clothing items will be donated to Helpful Hearts.

Throughout May, the remaining passion projects that will be taking place include a pet supply drive to support the Wayne County Humane Society, a youth sports clinic for youth enrolled in the minors Lyons Youth Baseball/Softball program, an agricultural experience at Maple Lawn Dairy, a trip to the LCC for 4th graders to learn about where there food comes from, and a public service campaign on mental health awareness. Keep an eye out for more amazing Passion Project photos! #LYPride
