The Lyons Select Choir celebrated our hometown heroes with a beautiful performance of the National Anthem at the Veterans Day Ceremony in the Park on Monday.
Ms. Williams' 6th graders are all smiles as they celebrate their impressive attendance streak with a fun lunch party! The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and a sense of community as students came together to celebrate their commitment to showing up and supporting one another. Here's to teamwork, friendship, and more milestones ahead!
Exciting times in the kitchen! This week, Ms. Brooks kicked off our Thanksgiving Cooking series, and the students dove right in with pie-making! From rolling dough to mixing delicious fillings, they embraced teamwork and creativity while learning valuable cooking skills. Stay tuned for more fun as we explore Apple Day, mashed potato bars, and stuffing next!
Students enjoyed Monroe Community College's recent visit to LCSD! Students in Astronomy and Physics explored potential pathways in optical systems technology and learned about dual enrollment opportunities. Through hands-on experiences, they discovered various career options and participated in interactive presentations on how we use optics in everyday life—think fiber optics, cell phones, and QR codes!
