LCSD’s FFA Chapter showed the true spirit of Thanksgiving by organizing a food drive to support local families in need. Their hard work and generosity greatly impacted our community this holiday season. Great job, FFA!
The 10th-grade health students at LCSD had the privilege of hosting Tina Durham, the Optimal Health Coordinator for Wayne County Community Schools. She shared valuable insights on the importance of nutrition for overall well-being and performance. Tina helped students understand the different food groups and debunked common nutrition myths. Thank you, Tina, for inspiring our future leaders with the power of nutrition!
In Mrs. Clark's 5th-grade class, students got creative with Thanksgiving Glyphs! Over the past few days, they answered questions about their Thanksgiving traditions and solved math problems to design unique pilgrim characters. This fun project reinforced skills like adding and subtracting decimals and multiplying multi-digit numbers. Check out their one-of-a-kind creations!
Exciting things are happening at our first Middle/High School Student Council meeting! These student leaders came together to share ideas, collaborate, and plan ways to make our school community even better. Stay tuned for the amazing initiatives they’ll bring to life this year!
Kindergarteners in Mrs. Pentycofe's 2nd-step class had a blast dancing to the Turkey Tango! This fun activity brought plenty of smiles and movement as they got into the Thanksgiving spirit. Great job, little dancers!
