In Ms. Carey’s 10th-grade honors class, students explored Chapter Two of The Scarlet Letter. They learned about how Hester Prynne challenged the Puritan expectations in colonial Boston. The class also practiced annotating the text, which helped them identify and understand figurative language in the chapter. It was an engaging way to connect with the material!
